Joe Moore and his uncle Chuck Edwards deserve a
big "pat on the back" for their efforts in a squirrel
rescue last spring. WWI recieved a phone call in hopes of someone
being able to rescue a baby squirrel. Maintenance workers had
boarded up a hole in the building (a week
earlier) with a
baby still inside. The mother had been chewing for days in an
attempt to free the little guy. The baby had only a small hole
that he was able to reach through to touch his mom. Maintenance
workers were unsympathetic about the issue. However, after a
phone call to Joe, he immediately headed over to pick up Chuck.
They quickly got to the building and looked 30 feet up to see the
sad situation. After two hours struggling on a ladder, they were
able to free not one, but two youngsters. Way to go, Joe and
Chuck!
